This photo is very accurate. The height is perfect for my Rat Terrier, who stands about 18'' tall (paw to withers). Only 4 stars because the bowls are quite light and sometimes they rattle a bit, which scares my timid rescue. Also, he doesn't like to see his reflection in the metal water bowl. In retrospect, I probably should have gotten a set with ceramic bowls, only because my guy is afraid of his own shadow!we love this set up ! they clean up nicely and are just the right height for our mid sized boarder collie/malamute mix. She didn't seem to be drinking enuf water so the vet suggested a raised dish and she is much more interested. She's out chasing lizards all day so we were afraid she would become dehydrated. We also notice she checks her food dish more often. Glad we ordered this !Our 1 yr old Golden Doodle loved his new bowls on a raised stand. He out grew his old ground level bowls. It so much easier for him to eat & drink since he doesn't have to bend down causing strain to his neck and legs. The bowls and stand are very sturdy.They look like nice bowls and all but they were way bigger than what I wanted.
