I purchased a few skeins of this yarn to finish crocheting a sweater I had been working on for months. I am a beginner or intermediate crocheter and I do LOTS of accessory crocheting...scarves, hats, mittens, leg warmers, also sweaters, afghans and baby blankets. I generally buy higher end yarns like this Berroco Vintage from a GREAT online website I found, which is also a brick 'n mortar store in the Berkshires Massachusetts. I purchase yarns like Berroco, Valley Yarn, Universal Yarn, Plymouth Yarn, etc from this online store 'cause I find the yarns to be just as pricey (a tad-bit more so usually) as some Lion Brand, Caron Brand and Red Heart yarns (I like Red Heart a lot) but a much finer & higher quality for the price!!I ran short of this chunky yarn in lilac and was fortunate enough to find it online at Amazon. I'm not super-fussy, so I wasn't concerned about color lot and all. Once again, Berroco did not disappoint and I was able to finish my sweater. And while the sweater proved to be too small for me (I'm learning-smile) and I did give it away, I love Berroco yarn and I love the lilac color. For starters, Berroco Vintage Worsted Weight and Chunky Weight yarns come in the prettiest colors and both yarns are nearly perfect for just about any project that requires a wool combination yarn. Berroco yarn is easy to use because it doesn't split, it doesn't tangle, it doesn't quickly pill, it is soft & luxurious to touch and just a dream to work with...especially as a crocheter!Additionally, I find this yarn to be the perfect "bulky" weight yarn, as it is not too thick, nor is it thin (or like a worsted weight yarn). The drape and feeling of this yarn is luxurious given its affordable price and I absolutely love using it. I've made several scarves as gifts from Berroco yarn and I am always proud & pleased to give the gifts to their recipients!.Given the affordable price of this yarn, along with its exceptional quality, gorgeous color choices and variable weights, Berocco yarn has quickly become one of my "go-to" yarns for a variety of projects! I just love it!
