Witch Balls are hand blown glass spheres, with 3 to 5 strands inside for collecting evil spirits and the like. Each one is unique with color, strands, bubbles, and size. Our glass art Witch Balls begin as clear recycled glass. As the molten hot glass is formed, color glass granules are applied to color 50% to 70% of surface, and to create the design pattern. Leaving clear areas allows sunlight the to brighten the sphere and the strands inside the ball. Each Witch Ball is handcrafted unique, no two are exactly the same. Witch Balls tend to be heavier than a regular ball, and can have a irregular surface from the formation of the strands inside. Color patterns and saturation vary from piece to piece as one would expect from a completely handmade art object. The size is about that of a apple, 4" diameter (the distance across).
