This is a fictionalized story, based on a real town and mining operation. It is the story of the challenges, heartaches, joys and true love that the residents of Iron Town experienced during the three short years that the mining company occupied the valley where they settled. Add to that formula, teenaged boys, moonshine, and dynamite, what could go wrong? Follow the story of the growth of the town from a mere plan by an ambitious engineer to a bustling commerce center for the area with Saturday night dances and a visit by the infamous James gang. The intrigue arises when Matthew Kidd, a handsome loner with mysterious roots, meets the beautiful wife of the mining company’s owner, Tillie, and they fall in love. Tillie’s husband, however, is violently opposed to her new love interest and she is forced to leave the valley with him. In desperation for a permanent solution for her dilemma, Tillie finds her voice, her courage and her determination to be free of her overbearing husband.
