A friend just turned me on to Floater, which is amazing, and when I found out the singer, Rob, was playing in town I borrowed this CD. I couldn't stop playing it so had to pick myself up a copy.Rob's voice is crystal clear and his pitch is dead-on. His vocals are oozing, dripping, bursting and screaming with energy and honest emotion. His lyrics are great, thoughtful and intense. His bass playing and guitar playing is great.You get hints of your favorite bands, but none of it sounds like he's trying to be like them - it's like genuine influences and nuances of them that only make his music greater and remind you what you love about all music.It's hard to judge whether you'll like music based on someone else's review because it's so subjective and personal - but I certainly highly recommend picking up this gem.
